The book is the catalogue of the exhibition held in Florence from 5 th to 28 th Febrauary 2015, collecting some of the most recent creations of Paolo Penko: unique jewels, made entirely by hand using the ancient techniques of traditional Florentine goldsmith. "There are innumerable medals, plaques, bas-reliefs and liturgical accouterments - even of the very highest quality, destined to the Duomo of Florence - in which Penko has expressed his broad and diversified culture", writes art historian Cristina Acidini. "He infuses both the conceptual design and the subsequent execution of the object with an innovative vision that creates and combines contemporary stylistic features while being underpinned by that profound and direct knowledge of the antique already mentioned. And always, along with his skill, he has exercised generosity and dedication".
