A detailed study of the town of Todi in Umbria from the earliest prehistoric evidence found, to the process of Romanisation of the town and its floruit in the Roman period from the 3rd/2nd century BC onwards. With lots of colour photographs of sites, monuments and objects, Simoni describes the theatre and amphitheatre, the forum, baths, cemetery, and the literary and epigraphic evidence. She goes on to discuss the wider region around the town and includes a catalogue of some of the excavated material from Todi now housed in various museums in Florence, Rome, Naples and Todi itself.
